Cool Cool Stuff for domino embellishing. I walked to The heartland Fair in the old Sears building and asked Mary if she had any bags of broken jewelry. She did and these things were hidden treasures within.

FOTD Day Five a Bunch of Stuff

The ever present penny found on the sidewalk near the Carle building on Fairchild. Avon ribbon pin and a silk flower petal from alley near Vermilion, nail from street, cork for yesterday's bottle (I hope it fits) and a puzzle piece from Goodwill parking lot. Meaningless drivel but somehow compelling. I shall make my art and be happy.

FOTD Day Four- Hand Blown Bottle and a Fork?

Yes it's definitely a fork. I found it half buried in the sand. I was informed that this Patron Tequila bottle is hand blown. Way cool.

FOTD Day Three Cheap Sunglasses

Geocaching with a childhood friend- found a pair of cheap sunglasses with the tag still on em. I rock.
Didn't find the geocache. Can't win them all.

FOTD Day Two Hello Kitty

You know it's a good day when you find a wee tiny Hello Kitty earring along with a penny and a rusty washer- I swear the world is gonna fall apart due to the fact I find so many of the washers. They have to be falling off something that should be held together with something that uses a washer. Eek n stuff.

New Blog Series!!!! FOTD aka Find of the Day

Wow it came upon me like a stroke of lightening- FOTD. Why didn't I think of this before? I find stuff all the time.

Case in point- walking down Hazel Street to get coffee and pay library fines and BAM! found 3 one dollar bills quickly followed by a domino about 100 feet on down the line.

I spent the last few days away from home and while I was waiting for a ride to work I watched the morning news. Bad weather, bad economy, stupid stuff over something Facebook did 2 years ago. After work I'm chatting with my youngest son and he's going to need a new place to live but of course has no money.

Now Twitter is trending #hobbylobby over the #SCOTUS decision and I really don't care. If we look too deeply into the dealings of any company we shop at we will find things we don't want to see. I am tired and need a bath and I need to buy some jewelry findings and I am gonna do it at Hobby Lobby even if there's a picket line three screaming feminists deep.

Death by Glitter

Having too much fun here in my little world. I don't know what made me do it but I pulled out the glitter for a shot of fairy dust chaos.

I got some smaller stones to work on next. I even got me a tiny vise grip to hold the dominoes while drilling. You can stop worrying so much about accidents now.

Farmers Market here in town has been great for market research!

Got a letter back today that I mailed A YEAR AGO!!!! Let me repeat that- I MAILED IT A YEAR AGO!!!

I didn't believe you when you said you didn't get it- I stand corrected. Now sir, how am I supposed to send you anything?

The good news is I got the cool hand painted envelope back lol.

Just so you know

I have been so super busy. I mean serious busy. Nothing note worthy just stuff keeping me from blogging and making art and thus kinda depressing- that kind of stuff. Good news is I am trying to make more time for art and blogging and hopefully I'll get back on some sort of schedule.

I sold some of my altered dominoes today at the Danville Farmer's Market- I took pictures but I'm so tired I can't find my card reader or my camera cable to show you. I swear, it's always something...ALWAYS! xoxoxoxox

New Nature Center at Kennekuk Cove

 Everything you wanted to know about Illinois terrain, flora and fauna, and then some. The buffalo was a complete surprise. Made me hungry even though I just ate.

My boss is quite the funny gal. I found this on my desk when I got to work one day last month. She found my stash of zebra cakes.

The next note was even more ominous:

I hope my boss doesn't end up looking like this:

 I hope she sends me to WalMart for snacks soon, My desk drawer stash is mighty puny.

You might think you absolutely need some sort of GPS device but that's not necessarily true. I use the map provided and clues and do pretty well. However, my friend, Becky S, has a GPS phone so she has agreed to play too. Yay!

Dominoes n Stuff
