Unloading on Ebay 30/365

Ebay offered me 100 free auction style listings. I have been very angry at their rising fees but free is a good price for me so I took this offer. I'll be listing more over the next week. I think you can use this link to see them all

Working on Pillow 29/365

I had a lady ask me about a large 18" CQ pillow on Etsy a few months ago. She mailed me a picture and I interpreted it. Then life got in my way and I put it aside. I finally got it pieced and the embellishments started.

Sue's Scarf n Stuff Long Time Coming 28/365

Sue actually added to my stash last year with the gift of some yummy chenille yarn she rescued from the trash somewhere north of Chicago. It took me a long time to knit this scarf/wrap in a feather and fan pattern. It has pockets as requested. I also tucked in a hat for her BF Robbie and some beaded jewelry from my stash of things I already had made for her daughters. I wish the pictures could convey how elegant this really is.

I got news that the red black scarf made it to Canada and is duly coveted by LLs daughters, the Music Hat made it to Virginia  Beach, The Hello Kitty hat is in New Jersey and they are waiting on more snow in South Carolina to take pics of themselves in the white skully hats.

Lexi has a Thick Skull hat 26/365

Hahahahahah that's what I wrote down when Wolfy asked for one of the hats like she bought for her mom last year...:Thick Skull Hat for Lexi" I meant a skull hat made out of thick yarn lol.

I still have a wee bit of yarn left. Guess it's time for one more scrap hat and I can close the door on the thick and quick yarn.

Helping me stay ON TRACK 25/365

Wow I dreamed I found a massive bag of purple/rose seed beads at a thrift store for $4.99. I was making every excuse in the book to buy it but in the end I put it down... Dang I'm strong!

Jack doesn't think so...when he saw me looking at the Hancock Fabric flier he demanded I hand it over LOL!

De-Stash and Make Money Too 22/365

Long time readers will know of my fondness for a good co-incidence. See the following posts for proof
 #1    #2     #3

Here's one that just happened to me.

I play music in a camfrog room called Acoustic_Pond. This room was started by another friend who, for lack of a better way to put it, was asked not to come back to the room called Acoustic_Jam where we used to all play. Friend makes me "red" which is kind of room owner status. Makes another friend red, knocks her back to green (operator status), makes her red again, knocks her back to blue (friend only status) all without explanation of why said color changes took place. Other disturbing behavior accompanies this. Worry ensues. We find out friend who owns room failed to pay for room and was in danger of losing room...are you with me so far?

Maybe we were wrong for this next step but sometimes you have to go with your gut and besides, you weren't there to experience the whole thing so don't judge me. My friend whose color got changed and I pay for room and stage a somewhat modified hostile take over. Get cussed out. Feel relief after taking away first person's ability to change colors. Cue the crickets and lets move on....

What does this have to do with your stash, Rebecca? Well my dear readers allow me to explain.

I needed $48.78 in my Paypal account to pay the 30 GSP to room owner (1 US dollar = .6253849 something British Pounds). I had $77 but that would have been cutting me a little short for Netflix payment and so on. OK don't panic, other friend sending check until they get Paypal set up. Meet up with room owner. Make deal. Go to Paypal....and here's where it gets weird.

I sold something. Actually I sold two somethings between the time I first checked my Paypal earlier in the evening and the time we met with owner to pay. These somethings were from my website 6 years ago and I had actually DELETED THOSE PAGES THIS PAST FALL! Omg are you getting goose bumps yet? How about now coz the total for these items came to $48.40. I'm sorry but I find this odd LOL!

"What were they!?!" you scream with morbid curiosity.

Two birthstone CQ kits, one for May and one for June. De-stash, make money, save music room. I rest my case.

The First Shipment of Gifties has Left the Building 17/365

Finally packed up and mailed these Friday night.
Packages going to South Carolina, Wisonsin, New Jersey and Canada, eh. The cost to ship the scarf to Canada was remarkably low. What's up with that?

Along with the skully hats for Mike, Lexi and Doug, I added this 12 pt ball for Lexi.

I'm hoping these people will bless me with pictures of themselves with their gifties!

A Great way to Use Up some Beads! 16/365

I sorta belong to a group called StitchMap on yahoo. It's a Student/Mentor needle arts group. I say sorta because I don't have much time to devote to it. The list mama lives here in Colorado Springs and when she came by to deliver a prize I had won for my nominal participation last year she encouraged me to try the January challenge...making a brooch.

We signed up and got installment lessons. After you completed each lesson you uploaded a picture into a special folder and notified the coordinator who emailed you the next step. Here's my process and finished piece.

Very addicting. I'm making a smaller round one now.

The sheer fabric was supposed to be a part of the finished design bit I kinda had an incident with glue when I was putting it all together resultinging in having to trim it off . Whoops my bad.
