So I got invited to a Steampunk Art Exhibition this weekend. If you don't know what Steampunk think Wild Wild West/Sherlock Holmes/HG Wells stuff. Victorian sci-fi.
Leslie gave me a skirt pattern and I sacrificed the fabric I had set aside for a quilt back.
The art exhibit was fabulous. I didn't realize I didn't get a picture of my whole outfit on my camera but I know Erin will send me the one she took.

Winding Yarn 123/365
Leslie dropped off her Winding Station for a few hours today. I managed to get most of my wayward skeins wound. Now to focus on some lace knitting along with all my other pursuits.
Before Leslie got back from Knitter's Kove I listened to my favorite book on tape while I wound yarn.Watchers by Dean R Koontz. I first read this in the early 90's when I lived in Indiana. Oh, so many fond memories of that short time there. I can still see the book sitting on the new release shelf at the Rush Co library. I waited and waited for it to go off rental status so I could read it. Then when I finally got it I read it twice. Yeah, I liked it that much.

Like The Economy...A Slow Recovery 46/365
Try as I might I couldn't get caught up today. As tired as I was last night I tossed and turned and didn't get much quality sleep. I am blaming the iced tea I drank. I bought lemon juice at Costcos today for lemonade. Anywaysssssssssss......Then it was run, run, run so I didn't get anything much accomplished here. Worse yet I missed Erin and Leslie when they stopped by after knitting to get Leslie's hat...I would model for you but my hair is up and blah blah blah...I will get a pic of her and me with her wearing it when she comes to get it (assuming of course, that I am here when she comes. UGH! I hate when a plan falls apart!)

Blogger Quilt Festival

Leslie told me about an online quilt show. Since she suggested this quilt I am showing it again.
I made this quilt from one of my crazy quilt kits I sell on etsy.com. I have been attracted to pirates all my life, even more so after the Disney Pirates of the Caribbean series...oh Captain Jack Sparrow...come take me away. This wall quilt is about 18" x 30" and has all sorts of pirate booty for embellishments. Click on the picture to enlarge. Then scroll down to see some of my newest crazy quilts!
