TO's Turkey Stick 136/365

TO (Tee Ohhh) is the GC (General Contractor) up at the big elephant enclosure build at the zoo. He like to turley hunt. Jack wanted to make him a stick in appreciation for all the overtime TO paid for on this job. TO donated the turkey feathers and beard. I did the bead cuff. Jack sewed the bag and fancied up the beard.

 I realize I don't have a pic of whole stick yet again but I am sure Jack will get one when he gives it to TO.

Stick update. It wasn't just a treasury that got us noticed, we were actually FEATURED in an Etsy Finds email! We got like 800 hits on our custom made walking sticks in 24 hours. Whoa!

Sold the Fire Stick to  a professor in Virginia. He wrote us a nice note and sent this picture. If only we could get everyone to do this for us!

Making A Custom Walking Stick 114/365

It's not as easy as you'd think..."Oh just throw some varnish and beads and a piece of leather on it." Yeah right, well we had to shop for crystals and non existent crow totems. Ugh!  Then it was motivating Mr Jack to help with the leather n stuff. He did actually do a most excellent job on finishing the stick. He set a blue stone in a knothole as a bonus. I will get a picture of me holding the stick before it is mailed out.

I just realized you can't see the black feathers, our nod to the crow. She wanted both dragonflies and crows. Dragonflies=easy. Crows=not so much.

Flight of the Phoenix 262/365

We got an order for a staff with a phoenix theme. I found a graphic online and adapted it for what I needed. As luck would have it we found a phoenix charm at Hobby Lobby too.
