This vintage doily is supposed to be starched to within an inch of its life. A ruffle edge doily to be exact. Not sure where I got it but I'm sure it was the colors that attracted me.

I remember getting this pattern book from the Watseka Walmart. Had to be early to mid 1990s.

This is one of a pair I made for my mom for her bed. She sewed them onto pillow covers. She used them in Rossville IL, Dandridge and Gatlinburg TN and Chicago. You will see another one in a darker shade sometime down the line.

An oldie but goodie. My sister just gave this one back to me. I made it back in the 80s right after I learned to crochet. The colors hurt my eyes now lol.

Not sure where this one came from but I am guessing it was destined to be a pot holder. I like this a lot. Pink is my favorite color....name that tune.

This was a part of a larger set I made for someone back in the 90's. Can't remember who or where, just that I made them then she backed out of the deal. Where did the other pieces go? Did I sell them to someone else? Did they disappear in the great farm escape of 2003? The world may never know.

A pair of doilies I got for free at a yard sale in Colorado Springs, probably because they were discolored. I bet my daughter the laundry queen could brighten them up if she wanted to.

They were most likely used on the arms of chairs.

This one is made from that really nice thread too. I have made this pattern in all sorts of thread sizes. It lends itself well to that. Smallish about 10" across.

This little beauty is from my haul from the estate thing in Rankin back in the 90's. Very high end mercerized threads. Absolutely yummy. I wish I could find more thread like that. Talk about your motivation!

The center is a lighter ecru.

When life hands you lemons, make lemonade colored doilies, that's what I always say. (ha) Much brighter than lemonade, I got this one at a thrift store somewhere. Or maybe a yard sale. Maybe it was an auction. Oh the joys of growing old.

An interesting pair of motif based doilies. I am going to go out on a limb and say that MAYBE my Great Gramma Karrick made these. I know I didn't.

Hurrah for square doilies! Double hurrah for filet crochet! That being said, I have NO CLUE where this one came from. Totally vintage though.

The infamous Cluster Stitch Doily. I first attempted this pattern way back in 1982. I think I still have that doily. You may see it here soon. Anyways.... this doily shown is also from the Japanese thread score. I no longer own this though as Deanna gave it to her mother-in-law for the December gift giving thing. It lives on her mantle. I made one just like it for my landlord back in Colorado too. It makes a good gift, it does, it does.

Another Pineapple Panolpy. This one is made from some Japanese thread size 40 I bought at Goodwill in Old Colorado City. Mine mine mine mine mine! I bought a bunch. Still have a bunch left. Must crochet faster.
