Unfinished Doily of unknown providence (ETA PROVENANCE ty Leslie). I know it's unfinished because the ending loop was loose and I almost unraveled it when I went to iron it a bit for its photo shoot. (See the thread sticking up on the top? Yeah that's the former loose loop) Yikes.

I made this honeycomb doily back on the farm in Cissna Park with the vintage thread I scored in Rankin. It usually lives on Deanna's dresser. Should I give it back? If you could see the state of said dresser you'd say no LOL!

Yes, I made this one! I made two. The other one is sewn on my very first crazy quilt which is packed away in the shed or I would show you. This vintage doily is supposed to be starched to within an inch of its life. A ruffle edge doily to be exact. Not sure where I got it but I'm sure it was the colors that attracted me.

This one is made from that really nice thread too. I have made this pattern in all sorts of thread sizes. It lends itself well to that. Smallish about 10" across.

This little beauty is from my haul from the estate thing in Rankin back in the 90's. Very high end mercerized threads. Absolutely yummy. I wish I could find more thread like that. Talk about your motivation!

Wow, Blast from the Past! I made this sometime in the 90s out on the farm in Cissna Park, Il. I got the dark blue thread in Rankin from someone's mother's estate. I think I got the pattern in a magazine from the Paxton Library. Wow...long time ago.

This lives on my daughter's dresser.

This was larger Speed Cro-sheen so I used a size 0 hook.
