It's easy- just look at the camera, press the button down until it beeps (focuses) and click away. Review on computer, discard the ones you hate and post the rest. Get over being camera shy, you will not be sorry.
I walk the same route to the library almost everytime- Straight down Hazel Street on the east side of the road. I have probably done it 75 times. So how did I miss these? I spotted the marble ad John boy spotted the penny- So weird. Weird I say.
I cannot stop picking up metal things I see while walking. It's a sickness. I am a metal addict.
There is a method to my madness though. I want to do a collage with all these metal bits and bobs and you paint it all white or black then highlight with metallic buffing paste. It will be cool trust me. It might weigh 100lbs but it will be cool!
Junk? I don't see no stinking junk... I see a cool metal circle that matches one I already have, a white sphere and my ever present penny from heaven ( I left the Drs office and headed straight East and BAM! there was a penny just across the way on Gilbert Street). I also saved someone from a flat tire again- See that sharp pointy screw? Yeah, it's trash to some but it's superman/ironman/spiderman/superhero stuff to me.
Picked up two sharp nails from the parking lots I went through to get to the laundrymat. Also two more washers, a Buddy Poppy the Vets sell for Memorial Day and some other metal odds and ends which will go into my Tyveck envelope with the other random metal bits and bobs until I get a plan on what to do with them.
Cool Cool Stuff for domino embellishing. I walked to The heartland Fair in the old Sears building and asked Mary if she had any bags of broken jewelry. She did and these things were hidden treasures within.
The ever present penny found on the sidewalk near the Carle building on Fairchild. Avon ribbon pin and a silk flower petal from alley near Vermilion, nail from street, cork for yesterday's bottle (I hope it fits) and a puzzle piece from Goodwill parking lot. Meaningless drivel but somehow compelling. I shall make my art and be happy.
You know it's a good day when you find a wee tiny Hello Kitty earring along with a penny and a rusty washer- I swear the world is gonna fall apart due to the fact I find so many of the washers. They have to be falling off something that should be held together with something that uses a washer. Eek n stuff.
Wow it came upon me like a stroke of lightening- FOTD. Why didn't I think of this before? I find stuff all the time.
Case in point- walking down Hazel Street to get coffee and pay library fines and BAM! found 3 one dollar bills quickly followed by a domino about 100 feet on down the line.
The rules:
I will be posting cool finds from my journeys and maybe from shopping.
I might not post every day but definitely more than once a week
