A CQ Canvas goes Hollywood 278/365
I just got word from a friend in marketing that maybe I should get busy making more CQ canvases. He gave one to a writer in Hollywood and she loved it! I should be getting some more info in the mail next week sometime w0000000t!
Here's the one that started it all. Notice the lack of embellishment. I was more in to color play at the time I made it.

Postcard from Vietnam 276/365
Earlier this year I asked for a postcard from one of my camfrog friends who travels a lot in the South Pacific. I finally received one from Vietnam, mailed May 11, 2010 lol! It was mailed in Saigon but the picture is of kindergarten children in Bihn Dihn. The note says...Saigon Rocks! Best food, best coffee & Cheap BEER! It's not signed but I know it's from romancingdashadow

Prospect Lake at Memorial Park 273/365
Vickie called me around noon and asked if I wanted to go to Memorial Park to walk around Prospect Lake a couple of times. SURE! Never mind that it was 90+ and humid, there was shade and a nice breeze off the water. Mmmmmmmm smells like Lake Vermilion at the Grotto when I was little.
Oh look...a squirrel!

YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!! 268/365
What a week, what a week! Remember way back on Monday I got my computer? Tuesday was spent downloading programs, helping Mr Jack at the Workforce place, shopping for groceries (ty Federal goverment for these food stamps!) Today came with no expectations except to follow the suggestions of the nice people at the Workforce.
Then the mail came.....
$1448 seized from Mommy Kim for back child support! Did I mention we were worried that the lights and phone were going to be shut off any day now? Score! Of course Unemployment needs to cough up their $4000+ for the past 11 weeks but I digress.
Off to the bank and then to the El Paso Co building to put in another job app. While Jack was filling that out I snuck off to the conference room to knit (OK I didn't knit I just took pictures of myself but anyways...) I heard his phone ring, figured it was Dakota, but by the tone of his voice and the yes no answers I realized it wasn't. He didn't say who it was but he wanted to get the hell out of Dodge after he turned the app in. So guess who it was? A JOB OFFER!!!! Wooooot!!!!!!!!! We ran home to take care of some business then off to Tab Const for an interview that was actually a flat out job offer. Omg! He starts tomorrow!!!!
Since I have hope now I went ahead and booked a ticket to Pond/Frog fest.
*OK calm down...deep breathes*
I'm so happy

Well that was Fun (NOT!) 266/365
*sigh* Finally back online thanks to my most excellent little brother, Shane, who sent me a computer he bought from his friend Cory in Illinois. No thanks to MrTechead here in Colorado Springs, That guy made me so mad I could spit nails. After the run around followed by a lecture like I was Granny-never-been-online-in-my-life I made Jack go with me to retrieve my old computer. It is safely in my bedroom now awaiting the money to have old hard drive put in this computer (as a slave drive...yeah I know what that is Mr Techead DUH!)
So what did I do in my one month and two day downtime? I read, gardened, knit, and cut a TON of crazy quilt fabric (while listening to Outlander and havin my blood boil ya ken)
I am glad to be back. Now if I can somehow persuade unemployment to actually pay Mr. Jack maybe I can keep the internet turned on.
