This time it was Founder's day in Old Colorado City. Yippppeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! I hung out with a saloon girl...good cop bad cop kinda thing lol. I also went to a needlework store and was right next to a bead store and refrained from buying. Go me.

Today I went looking for knit interfacing for my crazy quilt blocks as per the recommendations of several professional art quilters in my Yahoo groups. They didn't have it at Hobby Lobby so we made the trip east to JoAnn's. Ugh. I caved on the beads. They were just the shade of funky blue for my magnum opus* teal/peacock/gold quilt. It's like the Bible. God had the inspired writers tell of the bad as well as the good things that happened. This is my bad thing lol. At least I'm not melting them down into a golden calf.

I also needed  those plastic flowers for my quilt, I swear I did.

I am actually doing this to steer your attention away from the fact that I BOUGHT FABRIC at Walmart today...I needed it for the binding on my big 2012 CQ challenge quilt, the peacock blue one. I have the backing and border fabrics but I couldn't come up with a binding fabric from my stash. Yes, I bought it. It felt damn good too.

Thanks to everyone that has participated in this project. Whether it be by making quilt squares, buying the finished quilts or spread the word about the auctions and project, all help is greatly appreciated by the Skull-A-Day crew and Becky's Fund.

I've relisted the quilts that haven't sold yet. The auctions will run for 5 days. You MUST have an Ebay account and a Paypal account to bid and pay for the quilts. You can follow the steps for set up, if you don't already have those accounts. For information on each quilt, please see the auction listing and info below. Proceeds from the sales of all of the skull quilts will go to Becky's Fund, which is a DC based organization that helps victims of domestic violence and teaches domestic violence prevention.

Rule #1...NEVER pass up a photo op!

Leslie asked me to go to the Pioneer Museum. I grabbed my trusty magic carpet bag full of steampunk goodies and said..."Let's go!" Changed in the restroom and went off in search of photo ops (coz you know I would never pass one up). The hard part was that no flash photography allowed. I somehow missed that little rule last time I was there....my bad.
