Mary Beth messaged me on facebook with news of a yard sale score she wanted to gift me with. Ok who am I to say no to such enthusiasm lol!?! She arrived a little later with a box within a box...

I gave her the beaded purse I never quite finished. It needs a handle...her problem now lol.

The deer were in my side yard when she left. maybe she'll send me the pics she took.

I pulled the nasty things off for her but the mailman said he thought they'd come right back. We shall see, we shall see.

We didn't get to eat any Swedish meatballs but we got our picture taken with a picture of them. man it was insanely crowded! The line for the cafeteria was wayyyyyyyyyyy tooooooooo long. We copped out and ate back in the Springs at California Pizza up at the Promenade at Briargate  or something like that.

I ended up buying a bowl ($7), some stainless steel kitchen utensils ($5 for 4), cookies, chocolate bars, a silk orchid stem for Lillian, and Vickie's plastic utensils I held for her when she made a mad dash for the bathroom 3/4 of the way through the store and thus got lost till we paged her. A good time was had by all. I will definitely go back again some day.

Pink and Black CQ FINISHED!!! 176/365

It's been a longgggggggggggggg time coming but I have crossed another project off my list. The Pink and Black CQ is officially DONE!

I have to admit that I bought the pink and the black and white fabrics but this is a paying custom order. I did however use up a lot of my stash on the backing and I pieced together some batting I had left over from the batiks quilt.

I had an extra block so I made a pillow cover to go with.

Off to list this on Etsy for kadycakes.

Yep, Walmart brought back it's fabric department in at least two of our local stores. OMG can you believe it? I wonder who made that decision thus correcting the royal screw up of downsizing their craft depts everywhere. (I bow to the 8th Street Walmart who never did give up the ghost)
